Quality comes as standard - then as now
From EN 15038 to ISO 17100
At an extensive audit carried out in September 2015, Apostroph Group once again met the full range of quality criteria for the ISO 9001 and 17100 standards, successfully obtaining recertification. ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization, a body which develops global standards in virtually all areas. Products and services that meet an ISO standard are globally comparable. Apostroph Group has been certified according to ISO 9001 since 1996 and according to the European Quality Standard 15038 since 2013. ISO 17100 was recently developed as the successor to this European standard so as to establish key quality criteria for translations worldwide. ISO 17100 is being phased in gradually as of May 2015. So the European standard for certifying translation service providers has taken one step further towards globalisation.
Some of the changes involve more detailed specification of various points. One major new aspect is the fact that the skills of project managers are now assessed as well as the expertise of translators and editors in specialist fields. Another new feature is the data security requirement. This calls for a list of all sensitive information, a risk potential analysis and the safe storage and return of all materials provided by the customer.
"Swiss Firm. Swiss Quality." - that's our promise. And as a customer you may continue to place your trust in the very best quality as provided by Apostroph.
